What happens on your iPhone

Wrist Wallet stores your watch collection, selected photos, ownership notes, prices and owner-entered values, warranty dates, service history, attachments, accuracy checks and listening-session reports on your iPhone. It processes microphone audio on the device. No Wrist Wallet account is required. The first App Store release, version 1.0 build 15, contains no advertising SDK and does not enable advertising requests, analytics or automatic uploads of your watch data. Advertising in versions 1.0.1 build 16 and 1.1.0 builds 17 and 18 is described separately below.

Microphone recordings

The microphone starts when you choose Start listening and allow microphone access. Normal audio is processed temporarily and discarded. If you enable Save audio with this session (called Keep audio recording in version 1.0.1), up to 2 minutes are kept locally. Nearby voices and household sounds may be included. The option resets after each take, and the app stops capture when it enters the background.

Retained recordings stored by the app are excluded from automatic iOS device backups. You can play, export or delete a recording from its session. In version 1.1.0 you can also choose to include saved audio in a collection export; that exported copy follows the storage and backup settings of the destination you choose. Unsaved draft audio is removed when the draft is dismissed or during cleanup when the app next opens.

Photos, card scanning and device backups

The app receives photos you select and requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo or scan a card. In version 1.1.0, card text recognition runs on your iPhone. You review and choose any recognised serial number before saving it; card images and recognised text are not sent to the developer or advertising services. Watch records and their attached images may be included in your iOS device backup according to your settings. Wrist Wallet does not provide a separate cloud-sync service. You can change microphone and camera permissions in iPhone Settings.

Optional reminders in version 1.1.0

If you choose Remind me tomorrow after a time check, Wrist Wallet asks permission to schedule one local reminder in 24 hours. It includes the watch’s name and may appear on your Lock Screen according to your notification settings. Cancel it from the watch’s accuracy screen or change notification permissions in iPhone Settings. Reminder content is not sent to a Wrist Wallet server or advertising service.

Your choices

Export a collection or individual session when you want a copy. Version 1.1.0 collection files can optionally include audio; recordings also have a separate session export action. Collection files contain watch records, photos, cards, serial numbers, values and private notes. Save or share them only to a destination you trust. That destination’s privacy and backup practices apply. Importing a file restores its included records on your iPhone; it does not upload them to the developer. Your watch records, photos and recordings are not automatically sent to the developer.

Version 1.1.0 also lets you choose the contents of a watch passport PDF and preview it before sharing. Serial numbers, private notes, values and service costs are off by default; card images, document files and audio are never included in that PDF.

You can delete a watch and its associated records, or delete all local app data in Settings. Previously exported copies and older backups are unaffected. Uninstalling the app removes its current local container; restoring a prior backup may restore the records contained in that backup.

Support and this website

Contact and privacy requests use the existing Riffly forms. They receive only the information you enter, including any optional reply address and the page context shown by the form. Begin your message with “Wrist Wallet”. These voluntary requests are handled under Riffly’s published support and privacy-request practices; they do not give the forms access to your iPhone collection. Do not include private audio or watch exports in a form.

This static Wrist Wallet website has no analytics scripts, advertising or cookies configured by us. Vercel provides hosting and may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser and requested page to deliver and secure the website. See Vercel’s privacy policy. No watch records are sent when you simply open these pages.

Advertising in versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0

This section applies to Wrist Wallet 1.0.1 build 16 and 1.1.0 build 17, including their TestFlight versions. Version 1.0 build 15 contains no advertising SDK. The version installed on your iPhone determines which description applies.

This version uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) to show a banner in Discover and Google’s User Messaging Platform to manage advertising consent. Wrist Wallet does not supply your microphone audio, photos, serial numbers, service documents, watch collection or notes to either service. Advertisements stay out of Collection, listening and saved-session screens.

Google’s SDKs may process IP addresses and approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, performance information, crash reports and other diagnostics. These support advertising delivery and measurement, consent choices, fraud prevention, service operation and service improvement. Ad services may store information on your device. There is no Wrist Wallet login or advertising profile supplied by us. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

This version requests non-personalized ads and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier. It also requests Google restricted data processing. These settings limit Google’s use of information; they do not mean that advertising collects no data. Other advertising partners may participate in delivering and measuring ads, subject to the applicable consent signals and policies. Wrist Wallet does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier through the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

In the UK, European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google’s consent screen offers consent, refusal and detailed choices. Google’s general consent screen may describe purposes such as personalized advertising, but Wrist Wallet keeps its own ad requests set to non-personalized treatment regardless of that choice. Open Settings → Advertising privacy choices when available to review or withdraw your choices. Choosing not to consent does not restrict your watch features. Outside those regions, the same non-personalized and restricted-data settings apply. Ads may be unavailable if a required consent check fails.

You can use the advertisement’s information or AdChoices control, or “About this ad & report a problem” in Discover, to learn more or report an ad through our contact form. Your collection is not attached to a report automatically.
